About who needs care: Kirk has a catheter due to enlarged prostate. He needs to stay as still as possible until his surgery on 12/2 and afterward while he has a surgery. He has been moving around too much, so we need an RN to come in for a few hours daily to check his catheter and keep things flowing. Keep him as comfortable and entertained as possible. He hates being stuck at home, especially now after his wife of 44 years died in 2022. He loves classic cars, talking about Harley Davidson motor cycles, and farm life. He was a logger for 35 years and put 2 kids through college. He is originally from Caroline County, VA. About the care needs: We need someone who can help manage a Foley catheter and keep my dads stat lock on his leg to keep the tension off the catheter. If someone can bring interesting things about classic cars, or help him come up with seated activities to do from his recliner, that would be wonderful. Services needed include: meal preparation, errands / shopping, and light housekeeping.
