About who needs care: 88-year-old father, prefers liberal politics, sociable, retired English literature professor, loves symphony, and conversation, just moved to Salt Lake, beginning to have memory challenges, still independent and owns a truck but may be time to seek help with driving to weekly physical therapy (for strength and balance) and any other appointment plus an errand to the store or out to lunch would be really nice. Any exposure to interesting sights or art and lectures and groups would be awesome. Someone affiliated with the university would be right up his alley. While CNA isn't necessary now, would be cool to find someone who could possibly become that role down the road and already familiar and trusted. About the care needs: Anyone who is an academic or affiliated with the arts. Preferably liberal and non LDS. Dad lived in England 20 years, loves that culture too. Kind and patient and supportive while respecting independence and my Dads youthful spirit. Good sense of humor. Services needed include: transportation, and companionship.
