I'm looking for hands-on care for my mother in her 90s. We do 24-hour shifts from 530 to 530 p.m. Currently, we have 2 full-time caregivers, but need weekend help a few days per month or for fill-in work. She has some memory issues and is at mid-stage dementia, but is still mobile and can be engaging. Duties include administering medication twice a day. We would prefer someone who can handle light housekeeping. One of your responsibilities will be helping with her shower. Additional responsibilities include meal preparation. Duties include providing companionship and social interaction. You could be responsible for transporting to/from appointments, but generally she doesn't have any on the weekends. Preferences for a caregiver who is a non-smoker.
