My Mother, Hilary, has cognitive issues/dementia. She doesn't remember to go to the bathroom (can do her business, the clean up part is iffy) needs help showering, dressing and taking her am/pm meds. My brother, Chris, lives with Mom, has a TBI & emotionally stuck at 16. They will both tell you they can do all the things. They can't. Neither of their cognitive functions allow them to. He cooks and will help. They are both Virgos, stubborn, and like to watch TV, listen to music and discuss current events. A strong, compassionate, thick-skinned personality needed to assist DLAs with humor & grace. Services needed: 2 hours in the morning and 1 - 2 hours in the evening on Saturdays and Sundays. Preferred hours 8-10 a.m. and 5-7 p.m. are flexible. We need med prompting, bathing/dressing mobility assistance and light housekeeping. Thank you.
