About who needs care: Serving in the Navy and exposed to agent orange Skip now has Parkinson's disease and is not ambulatory. Skip eats breakfast early with me and a care giver is needed to assist with transfers to toilet chair into shower dressing transfer to reclining chair in great room. He likes to sleep in and takes a brief nap after he has had his breakfast. If a care giver can adjust time a bit we can make this work! The night time is easier. He likes to get into bed around 10 or 10 30. We are willing to work with the right person. I am his wife and I am here to help with the transfers and the three times a week showers in his shower chair . About the care needs: We are people who love to laugh and enjoy a sense of humor. Skip lives sports and one of our most successful care givers helped keep Skip informed about games. Strength is needed to transfer Skip because he can not longer walk. I am always here to help and we have figured out systems to make this safe. We also have a battery operated Hoyer Lift. Services needed include: feeding, and bathing / dressing.
