Seeking care for my father with ALS/Lou Gehrig's Disease. We are currently looking for help getting him in bed and watching him overnight. Coverage between 8:00 p.m. and 8:00 a.m. would be ideal, but hours are very flexible. Responsibilities would include: - Help getting into bed at night (using Hoyer lift) - Toileting before bed, if needed (using Hoyer lift) - Overnight monitoring (via bedroom camera) - Tracheotomy care (suctioning) Experience helping individual(s) with ALS/Lou Gehrig's Disease is preferred, but not required. The ideal caregiver(s) is compassionate, friendly, patient, helpful and willing to learn.
