This care is for my stepmom who has Huntington's Disease. A Huntington's patient in late stages are unique because they are suffering dementia, chorea, swallowing (purée only diet. ) issues. Yet, they believe they can still do everything the used to. Currently we need help with dinner, bathroom assistance and getting ready for bed. My stepmom is happy go lucky and easy going. Although she weighs 80lbs she is mighty strong, constantly moving. Looking for a long term, reliable aide! I suggest anyone looking to take this position visit the HDSA (Huntington's disease Society of America) website to learn more about the disease.
