About who needs care: This care would be required for my mother and father. Both my parents are in their 70s. They would need help with cooking, cleaning, laundry, grocery shopping, and bathing/personal care. My dad can drive but he doesnt like to. It would be nice to have someone be able to drive them to appointments as needed. About the care needs: My mom is a type 1 diabetic who often has really low blood sugar episodes. The best type of care giver would be one who is very familiar with extreme low blood sugars. There may be quite a bit of yelling between my parents. Any type of companion would be fine as my parents have very little social interaction at this point. My parents typically are just home all day. Being able to discuss the news and things on TV would be good for a companion. Services needed include: transportation, meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, companionship, feeding, bathing / dressing, and mobility assistance.
