About who needs care: He has PSP which is a rapid form of Parkinson's Disease. He is alert and oriented and needs assist of 2 for transfers. Family member would be present as second assist. He has health aides that come in most days for showering in the morning. After morning care is done most of day is spent with his wife in the living room sitting in recliner watching tv and talking with family There are times when family members are working or need to run errands and need a second person available for socializing and transfers if needed About the care needs: He is very laid back with a good sense of humor. Due to his neurological disorder he does have problems with his speech which make him harder to understand at times but he is very patient He does have a feeding tube but family does all the care with that. He was in the military ( Vietnam war) and does enjoy history He likes meeting and talking with new people Services needed include: meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, companionship, and mobility assistance.
