My father is 66 years old. He suffered a serious spinal cord injury back in March when he fell off a ladder. He has movement in his arms, no movement in his lower extremities. He uses a power chair to get around. He is about 5'11 and 190lbs. What we are looking for: - Someone strong enough to move him around (male preferred but not necessary) - We have a fully electric hoyer lift to transfer him from his bed to his chair and vice versa - Basic Therapy: stretching and assisting with movement in his arms and legs to stimulate voluntary movement - Bathing: We have handicap accessible shower and shower chair. - Toileting: He has a super pubic foley to drain his bladder. The caregiver would just need to empty the bag every couple of hours. His bowel movements go into his diaper and would need to be changed as necessary.
