About who needs care: My dad is 62 and suffered a heart attack around 25 years ago which put him in a coma that has left him mentally and physically disabled. He uses a wheelchair, can barely stand for long, and has a hard time using his hands. His mom cared for him for the last 25 years but she recently passed away and he is left in the care of his brother who is also handicapped and limited in his abilities. We need him to receive help with hygiene, having his meals served to him (he can feed himself), and the apartment to be cleaned first deeply, then just normal upkeep. If any memory/cognition exercise or physical exercise can be included sometimes, that would be ideal for him as well. About the care needs: We would need someone patient, kind, and dedicated to helping someone who cannot properly care for themselves. He would appreciate someone with a sense of humor to joke with him as well- he always likes to lighten the mood. Services needed include: transportation, meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, feeding, bathing / dressing, and mobility assistance.
