Seeking care for my mother in her 60s. Services needed: companionship, medication prompting, help staying physically active. Looking for someone with 7+ years of experience caring for seniors. Specialized care needs: CPR/first aid training. Female caregiver preferred. A little more about my mother: she can be anxious, lethargic, reserved. Major depressive disorder. I'm looking for someone who is patient, chatty, firm, strong, outdoorsy, bilingual. Nice caring and patient yet firm. Looking for a cheer leader to help my mom wake up, brush teeth, drink meds. She can do those task herself but will not do it if she's by herself or will do it on her own. She might refused activities but you have to be persistent and ask her to complete task. We live nearby a park and because of her depression, she doesn't want to do activities but will do it if a person is there. But currently only looking morning care to try it out first. If it works well then maybe afternoon care too. Caregiver has to have a big heart and understand depression.
