Seeking care for my mother in her 90s. Services needed: companionship, bathing / dressing, feeding, meal preparation, medication prompting, help staying physically active, mobility assistance. No prior experience required. Female caregiver preferred. A little more about my mother: she can be pleasant, reserved. Had dementia but loves music... needs someone who is strong enough and can do transfers from bed to wheel chair etc She does not walk. She is a little woman but can be quite strong. I'm looking for someone who is patient, fond of pets. Likes to engage... doesn't ignore my Mom but shows her respect and kindness. Doesn't have to be too chatty though. Help her with light exercise. Since our Mom has dementia she sometimes is very quiet but we still don't w sent her ignored. Some caregivers are much better and others at engaging her. Making her feel special and loved but her activities are Limited. She enjoys going outside when weather is good. We have a pretty garden and driveway that is good for a walk in the wheelchair. She enjoys watching videos.. We have one caregiver and then for helping usually my sister is available or we will have another person at key times... like when it's time to go to bed or get up in the morning. But the caregiver needs to be able transfer her by themselves and then the other person (my sister or a friend) can help with toileting etc.
