My 93-year-old mother has dementia and is suffering from cancer. She is expected to pass with in the year. She is still able to dress, and cook. Her cleaning has been less than her norm but not filthy. If you understand dementia you need to not confront her or challenge her discussion. She is delusional and believes her family is out to get her so expect stories that sound like good drama and suspense movies. She is forgetting many daily tasked and needs assistance with small items like setting the temperature for cooking in the oven. Help with laundry and running the machine. Weekly cleaning is a must. Floors mopped and carpets vacuumed. One day for cleaning and the others for assistance.
