The patient is recovering from very serious orthopedic surgery on her left knee and leg. She is currently unable to walk but transfers herself from bed to wheelchair and into her car with essentially no assistance. She can dress herself but requires help with socks and shoes. There are two golden retriever dogs that are totally non aggressive. There is also an indoor cat who is friendly on her terms. The patient is very cooperative and easy to work for. She is hard of hearing but reads lips effectively. she requires no medical procedures and manages her own medications. The patient does best when taken out of the house regularly and provides her vehicle for transportation. Basic house cleaning, laundry and cooking simple meals make up the daily routine.
