About who needs care: Mom has alzheimers. We believe stage 3. She is still self reliant in many ways, and currently lives alone with her two cats. She can walk, but does have some mobility issues because she only has 1 lung and she easily runs out of breath. She can be sweet, but can also be sassy, stubborn, knows what she wants and she doesn't hold back in articulated what she wants. About the care needs: The supplemental care provider, who we would only need occasionally when her current care provider is unable to show up due to illness, or has a scheduling conflict. Whoever is chosen, will have to be very caring and patient because Mom forgets a lot, and again, can be quite sassy and stubborn. Services needed include: meal preparation, errands / shopping, and light housekeeping.
