Seeking care for my mother in her 80s. Services needed: companionship, bathing / dressing, meal preparation, medication prompting, help staying physically active, mobility assistance, light housekeeping. No prior experience required. Specialized care needs: CPR/first aid training, support for memory care. Female caregiver preferred. A little more about my mother: she can be anxious, lethargic, reserved. Mom has been through a lot in past couple of years. He son cared for her until May of 2019. Then she went back to her husband of 61 years. Her son was phoenix police commander who was killed in the line of duty 3-29. She had pacemaker surgery on 3-31 and hip surgery 4-1. Had given up on rehab so brought her home on hospice for 6 days. Then switched to home health care. Husband has his own health issues and a Marine is in able to care for her during the day. I'm looking for someone who is patient, firm, strong. Will try to engage mom on activity. Puzzles. Talk about travels, or family. Prepare meals. Assist with pt and it exercises. Encouraging RR on a schedule. Help with bathing... Mom enjoys being waited on. Needs someone who is loving and patient as she gets up and does her schedule. Husband comes and goes but needs a break as caregiving can be challenging for him.
