We have the younger 2 full time and my older daughter part time. My son is super energetic and has a smile that he thinks allows him to get away with anything! Our helper will be able to be firm with rules but still admire professionally his sensitive and creative imagination. Patience is a must with my youngest daughter. She is non verbal so being able to communicate to her through sign language and her unique words is vital. Our helper would encourage her to use her words but will also notice if she is becoming overwhelmed, you must know how to care for her emotional and mental needs in many different scenarios. She is not difficult by any means, only very specific and as a family we feel it is important for her to be able to be as freely her as she can be. My oldest is such an old souls and will question how everything works. Our ideal caregiver: My youngest has Down Syndrome, our helper will definitely have patience to correct her in a loving and guiding way. Must never get aggravated during any interaction with any of my children. My children have gone through early hurts in life and need consistency. We need to be ble to trust our helper to keep my children safe emotionally, mentally, physically and nutritionally. We love to encourage imagination and think that nurturing a live for growth, fantasy, exaggerations (truthful or purposely playful ones!) Additional needs include having a reliable car and a non-smoker. Looking for a caregiver for my 4-year-old daughter, 5-year-old son, and 7-year-old daughter. Flexible start date. My schedule may vary.
