My wife is a healthcare worker and works 3-4 shifts per week. Her shifts are rarely fixed so having flexibility week-to-week is important. As an entrepreneur, I usually set my work hours—and thus, childcare requirements—from morning until early afternoon on weekdays only. We will not require weekend care. We have one child who attends elementary school Monday-Friday. The younger two attend preschool M/W/F and will occasionally require transportation to school. Basic meal preparation will be required, including making breakfast and preparing both home and school lunches. Comfortability around animals is required. We have two dogs and one cat. They don’t demand much attention but they do occasionally struggle to understand personal space.
