My child has Type I Diabetes, so the caregiver will need to be comfortable with the basics. My child can handle most all aspects of managing this condition on their own, but everyone in our home is educated on the basics (including older siblings). My child returns from school around 4 p.m. Snack, homework, walk the dog, activities, rest, dinner, rest/homework, wind down, bed time. My child can do most things independently but needs an adult to help maintain structure, offer rides, prepare meals/food, house keeping work, tutor/help w homework if needed, guidance, positive engagement, etc. My child loves music and piano. She likes to sing, do art projects, make jewelry, play basketball, make videos, etc. She also loves theatre and expressive arts.
