Our 8-month-old daughter is in early head start, and we have a great nanny we love who gets her to school every day. However, we are using up all our sick days because school was closed at the last minute due to illness, or the baby is sick and can't go to school, or the school has a professional development day, or our nanny has an appointment, or one of us has late meetings and can't pick her up, etc. We really need to have a backup plan in cases like this, so we can still go to work. The schedule will vary, and it might be drop-off and pickup, or having the baby with you all day until 3 or so. We're hoping to find a local person who can be flexible, and we're willing to discuss the wages. Our baby is very sweet and happy, and typically only cries when she needs something specific.
