My child has down's syndrome and is partially verbal - generally able to communicate effectively (i. e. when she's hungry, when she's going to the potty, when she wants to play, when she needs help, ...). She goes over the calendar and weather. She works on sight words. She practices handwriting. She practices reading and math topics on apps on her iPad. She reads sight word books. She is able to tolerate roughly 30-45 minute learning intervals before needing a break. She loves bubbles, balloons, riding scooter, playing at the playground, and playing ball among other things.
