Full-time Family Assistant, Warm and Reliable Web Job #: 10812 Job Date: 12/1/2025 Location: San Jose, California. Schedule: The schedule is Monday through Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. The family is seeking a candidate who can provide overnight care 4-5 times per year when parents travel, as well as a candidate who can work occasional evenings and weekends with advance notice-for example, when parents have work commitments. Children: 1, 4, and 6 years old. The 1-year-old attends full-time daycare, and the 4- and 6-year-olds attend full-time school. Duties: The child-focused duties include childcare, driving children, planning and attending activities and classes for children, helping with homework, and meal preparation for children. The household duties include light tidying, family and household laundry, scheduling appointments, coordinating vendors and service personnel, managing the family calendar and planning family events, grocery shopping, running errands, and purchasing items for the children, family, and household. A typical day will include helping the children get ready for school, taking the youngest child to daycare, and occasionally taking the older children to school. The Family Assistant will return to the home and tidy up common areas, including the children's rooms, playroom, kitchen, and living areas, and do a load of laundry. The Family Assistant will check the daily and weekly schedule, make appointments, sort and file mail, and run errands. Approximately one to three afternoons per week, the Family Assistant will pick up the children and take them to a class, activity, or appointment. The Family Assistant will continue to work on household tasks on the other afternoons and will pick up the youngest child from daycare by 5:00 p.m. daily. Requirements: The ideal candidate is kind, warm, punctual, reliable, adaptable, and has a minimum of two years of experience in a similar role. The candidate must be tech-savvy and comfortable with parents working from home. The candidate must drive, and the family can provide a vehicle for use on the job. Salary: $40-$45 per hour.
