Schedule: The schedule is either 1) ROTA, 7 days on/7 days off, from 12:00 pm to 8:00 pm each day, or 2) Monday through Friday, plus one weekend per month (Saturday and Sunday) from 12:00 pm to 8:00 pm. The ideal Candidate is flexible to shift their schedule when needed and will be guaranteed pay even when not needed to work. Children: 2 and 9 year olds, with primary care for the 2 year old. Duties: The core responsibilities of this role are to provide attentive, loving care for the toddler, with occasional care for the older sibling, support developmental milestones through play, learning, and daily routines, work collaboratively with other caregivers in a team-based environment, and maintain a high level of discretion and professionalism at all times. The daily duties include childcare and supervision, including overnight care when needed, attending and actively participating in enrichment activities with the children, preparing healthy meals and snacks for the children, managing children's laundry and maintaining cleanliness and organization of their spaces, light housekeeping related to children (such as tidying play areas and dishes after meals), running errands as needed, and accompanying the family on frequent domestic and international trips. Requirements: The ideal Candidate is warm, loving, and has several years of professional childcare experience. Family requires a bilingual Candidate who speaks English and a second language fluently, either Spanish, French, Italian, or German. A background in early childhood education or teaching is required. The ideal Candidate is comfortable collaborating closely with parents and other household staff, flexible, dependable, proactive, and able to adapt to changing needs. Must be comfortable with dogs and must have or be willing to obtain up-to-date vaccinations, including COVID, MMR, Tdap, and flu.
