Seeking Nanny Positions In Dallas, TX
My name is Meg! I am graduate of Purdue University and currently hold an internship at Disneyland! My internship extends from January 2015 - August 7, 2015. Immediately after my internship, I am relocating to Dallas, TX!
I enjoy volunteering, hiking, reading, cooking (it's a skill I'm still learning to develop!), street fairs, and trying all things Mexican food! I have a lot of experience with children, within and aside from care. com.
Since I was young, I've worked at several daycare facilities and have held several year-long babysitter positions! At Disneyland I am a Custodial worker, a role highly interactive with children and families. Prior to Disneyland, From August 2014 - January 2015, I nannied for a family I found on care. com in San Francisco and fell in love with the opportunity to help make a positive impact on the lives of children (and luckily, the children made a positive impact on me as well)! The opportunity was one that I will forever be grateful for, so I decided to try once again for my relocation in Dallas. Therefore, I am well-versed in making and following schedules for your children, helping with homework, and the basic overall monitoring of the safety and well-being of you children.
At Purdue, I was involved with Purdue University Dance Marathon (PUDM). A "Dance Marathon" is a nationwide movement involving college and high school students, at more than 150 schools across the country, all raising money for the Children's Miracle Network Hospital in their community. The fundraising culminates with an 18 hour celebration for participants and Miracle families held on campus. With over 1800 volunteers, PUDM is the largest student-run philanthropic organization on Purdue's campus and as a senior, I had the honor of holding the position of Vice President of Internal Affairs (meaning I planned the event). After establishment in 2005, PUDM is in the process of planning for their 11th marathon. Since its creation, PUDM has raised over $2, 000, 000 for the kids and families of Indiana's Children's Miracle Network Hospital, Riley Hospital for Children. Most importantly, PUDM allows the opportunity for students to develop close and personal relationships with Riley kids and families. They are the heart, soul, and inspiration for the year-round fundraising and planning of the marathon. In leadership positions for the marathon we try to give more than just money to the hospital; we try to also provide a wonderful and special experience for our Riley families. The marathon is a celebration of life, hope, love, and dreaming BIG! Throughout the marathon process, I learned about interaction with children of all ages and mental capabilities.
I would love to hear more about your family, so please feel free to reach out to me!
