Full-Time Nanny In Kalamazoo

Full Time $20 – 20/hr Starts ASAP Kalamazoo, MI
The Michigan Nanny Authority is now interviewing for the following position: A loving family in Kalamazoo is seeking a Full-Time Nanny for 36 hours per week! Professional parents are looking to hire an experienced and dedicated Professional Nanny to provide fun and engaging loving care for the family's two boys, who are 3-years-old and 1-year-old. The Nanny will work 9am to 5pm, four weekdays per week, for a total of 36 hours each week. Each week's hours are guaranteed, and overtime will be paid for every hour worked over 40 hours in a week. The right nanny for this family will be able to start as soon as possible! The Nanny will partner with the parents to care for the emotional, social, developmental, and educational needs of the family's two boys. They will be a loving, enthusiastic caregiver and playmate who loves the boys like family and is invested in their health, safety, education, and growth. They will help provide transportation to and from preschool for the oldest boy two mornings per week and will find creative and COVID-safety-conscious activities inside and outside the home to engage the boys in learning and exploring the world around them. They will become the boys' best friend and favorite playmate, and will also be an important role model, supporting the parents as they intentionally raise emotionally intelligent young men who treat every person they meet with dignity, respect, and kindness. Nanny will also help with light child-related housekeeping such as doing the boys' laundry, tidying and maintaining organization in the children's rooms and play areas (while including the boys as much as possible), basic meal prep for the boys, and doing dishes and other clean up after meals and activities. They may be asked to run errands for the family on occasion, such as shopping for groceries, diapers, and other necessities. The family plans to provide a vehicle for the nanny to use while on duty, and will provide mileage reimbursement for any miles driven in the nanny's own vehicle as applicable. The mother works from home currently due to COVID-19 precautions at her workplace and is hoping to return to in-office work by the end of 2021. She has an office in the home that is separate from the main areas of the house, and before moving to Kalamazoo, she and their previous nanny prioritized clear and direct communication about day-to-day expectations to make each of their workdays in the family's home as smooth as possible. Nanny should be comfortable sharing their workspace with the parents on the occasional times they intersect during the day, and parents will continue to create a fun and respectful work environment for their nanny! A nanny who is flexible and adaptable, who has a good sense of humor, and who is self-directed and well-organized will thrive in their home and quickly become an invaluable part of the parenting team. The ideal Nanny for this family has a deeply ingrained passion for working with children and has a positive and inclusive outlook on life. They are a professional career Nanny with solid work ethic and a high level of reliability and flexibility, have the ability to multi-task to meet the needs of two children of different age levels at once, and have a collaborative approach to sharing ideas and feedback with the parents about the children's development and needs as they change. They are a maternal and loving caregiver who will naturally become an important part of the family and love the children in their care as if they were their own. They are also a creative and engaging playmate who believes in laying an early foundation for learning by engaging the children with books, songs, toys, and exploring the world around them. The parents would prefer a Nanny with a degree or coursework in Early Childhood Education, and would be thrilled to consider a Nanny who has previously worked as a preschool teacher or lead teacher in a daycare center. This position requires a one-year commitment to the family, and preference will be given to those who hope to stay for many years. Pay will start at $20 per hour, and nanny will have guaranteed pay, paid time off, paid holidays, mileage reimbursement and other standard nanny benefits. Details will be discussed with qualified nannies at an in-person interview.
