Full Time • $15 – 25/hr • Starts 01/19 • Grayslake, IL
Seeking care for my mother in her 80s. Services needed: companionship, bathing / dressing, feeding, meal preparation, medication prompting, help staying physically active, mobility assistance, transportation, light housekeeping. Specialized care needs: support for memory care. Female caregiver preferred. A little more about my mother: she can be anxious, lethargic, pleasant, reserved. Nice, reserved until she knows a person but that can happen quickly. Moderate Alzheimers, has a lot of pain from legs, frail. I'm looking for someone who is patient, quiet, fond of pets. Need someone who can do all things. From encouraging to cooking, assist with bathing and seeing she takes her meds on time (plus tylenol for pain) and more. We need someone willing to work with her even though she was exposed to covid and is waiting on test results. This is the primary reason we are seeking additional help.

I will need simple chores completed for the 3 days that I have requested. I came down with the flu and have been quarantined upstairs. The only space you will be in will be downstairs where the kitchen, great room, mud room and dining room are that will need to be tidied and kept in order. I have a dog, two cats, a 12-year-old son & husband, so you can imaging the mess generated in the short time I am going to be down. Also, I will need the kitchen to be maintained. Dishes, wiping of counters, sweeping etc. Again, this is only for 3 days while I am required to be quarantined to beat this flu. I don't believe the work should take longer than an hour and half a day. I am very flexible on what times you are able to come each day, as I will be here... stuck. P. S. I have already had one major cleaning crew sanitize the downstairs.
