Seeking a multifaceted person that will help with housekeeping, cooking and general house management for our 4 bedroom, 3. 5 bath home in Bentonville Va. Three days a week (Monday, Wednesday and Thursday or Friday ideally) from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. this person would help with tidying up after a busy day, preparing dinner (menu and directions will be provided) and cleaning up for the evening. We have three small children so this person needs to be comfortable with an unpredictable young family. Additionally we have three dogs. We are looking for a housekeeper to come weekly for routine cleaning and then once a month come for a second day for a deeper cleaning (I. e. oven, carpets, baseboards, etc). I anticipate routine cleaning will take about 5 hrs per week, and once a month deeper cleaning would be 4-5 hours. We have small children and two small dogs in our 4 bed, 4 bath house. There are also two bonus areas (loft and second living room). Weekly tasks should include: changing all bed sheets and towels, general dusting vacuuming mopping, window and window sill cleaning, fan dusting, kitchen and microwave cleaning, and all appliance exterior cleaning, among other routine tasks. Monthly tasks should include: carpet shampooing, baseboards (though this may be weekly if possible for up-keep), wall wipe down, fridge interior cleaning, oven cleaning (we have a self cleaning oven just need to wipe it down), and other routine monthly upkeep. A dedicated, dependable and detail-oriented housekeeper is needed to maintain a 5-star rated vacation rental as a safe and clean home-away-from-home for families visiting the Shenandoah Valley. Candidate would need to be able to meet a flexible schedule. Advance notice is always provided for planning purposes. Supplies and equipment are provided as the discretion of the housekeeper. The 1900 sf, 2-story log home includes 3 bedrooms (1 king and 2 queen beds), 2 1/2 baths, kitchen, great room, dining room and loft. Main level has hardwood and tile floors and upstairs has carpet and tile. Usual time to clean following a rental is 3 hours and includes general interior cleaning of all spaces, floor care, window cleaning as needed, laundry, putting away dishes, making beds, restocking of paper products, and trash removal.
