May need to be reminded to take meds. Some light tidying up is involved including changing kitty litter box, feeding cat, vacuuming once a week. He may need assistance w/ dressing, maybe bathing, and needs meal preparation for breakfast, lunch, dinner. He may want to go out for a meal. Need help w/ getting groceries or running errands, transportation (doctor's appointments, maybe church etc.). We are OK w/ having more than one caregiver to share caregiving duties since he will need help 7 days a week. My husband and I will be able to come when we can, so we might not always need 7 days a week. After he gets home from rehab & after a few weeks when he is doing better, the hours and days may decrease. He doesn't need 24/7 care, just meals, companionship. Would consider live-in caregiver, or live-in might be best for first couple of weeks.
