About who needs care: I am disabled with a spinal cord injury. Was told in 2014 I would progressively get worse. Physically am having difficulty getting around. Also in chronic pain but only gets severe if I take on to much. I went to the grocery store today and it will be the last time I go without help. My son has decided not to render any assistance any further. About the care needs: Would prefer someone easy going and well spoken. Able to carry on a conversation. Hopefully someone who likes helping others. I walk with a cane and a staggered gate and have been treated poorly at times. Can walk but carrying anything or picking items up below table height very difficult and painful. Have suffered a lot staying home alone for long periods because of COVID 19. Look forward to errands. Services needed include: meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, companionship, and mobility assistance. Preference for a caregiver who is female.

We need live-in home care to take care of my mother in Thornton. Some light tidying up is involved. Assistance with bathing is one of our requirements. We're looking for some help preparing meals. We are a family looking for in-home and community access care for a mid 70's retired corporate executive/ Vietnam Vet dealing with dementia. He will be living in an independent senior community in Thornton starting mid July. Dan greatly prizes his independence, physical health and conditioning, and enjoys being active. He has a great sense of humor, but needs increasing support with daily task due to memory loss. Ideally we are looking for daily support with some version of: Morning 8:30 to 12:00 ( or longer for outings) Late afternoon 4/5 p.m. (2 hr shift) Dan needs reminders to complete daily care tasks (bathing/grooming, taking medication, laundry and house keeping Dan will relate best to someone 28 or older, experienced working with dementia, very patient, lives close by, and is willing to chauffeur.

A little more about my husband: he can be pleasant, outgoing, independent. Mild to Moderate dementia due to Werner-Karsekoff syndrome. Restricted to no driving. Self sufficient but requires 24/7 supervision. Recently home from assisted living. I'm looking for someone who is patient, chatty, firm, fond of pets. Friendly, patient, great sense of humor. Good conversationalist, he lives to talk and socialize. At this time I need someone on a Sunday night so I can attend my daughters graduate school graduation ceremony. I will need someone on occasion so I can have "me" time which I have not had a lot of in the past year. Jerry loves to visit with the neighbors. They are acceptable to visit in the home but not going to the neighbors home when I am not around nor at night.
