Medication Prompting And Light Housekeeping Full-time Support Needed For My Mother In Riverdale, GA.

Seeking care for my mother in her 80s. Services needed: companionship, bathing / dressing, meal preparation, medication prompting, help staying physically active, mobility assistance, transportation, light housekeeping, errands / shopping. Looking for someone with 5+ years of experience caring for seniors. Specialized care needs: CPR/first aid training, support for chronic illness, nursing experience, support for memory care. Female caregiver preferred. A little more about my mother: she can be pleasant. Our Mother is currently battling Dementia. she is in depends but she does go to the restroom on her own. There are times that she need assistance my sisters and I would like to bring her home. She has diabetes is very manageable and high blood pressure that's under control . We are looking for a caregiver to live with her single no children no husband no obligations we need this person to love, care, and understanding. The caregiver will live for free with every weekend and holidays off. I'm looking for someone who is patient, chatty, firm, strong. We need the caregiver to have experience with Dementia, and accustomed to administering medication . They must have compassion love what they do. We need her to care as if it's their Grandmother. We need her to be mobile. As stated above she won't have to pay any bills. Our Mother likes to sit on the porch, walk around the neighborhood, go out and about when taken. She uses a walker, but very active and for her current situation she's very much in tune with who wr are. We love our Mother and we want the best care for her.

Direct Support Professional

Full Time
Work in a Personal Care Home or Community Living Arrangement setting as a part of staff offering structure, accountability and guidance to individuals with developmental disabilities. The DSP must maintain safe conditions for program participants or Individuals and provide specific training, supervision and assistance. Such service delivery shall be documented as deemed appropriate. Responsibilities and Duties 1. Participate in orientation, on-going education, and training as directed by supervisor. 2. Counsel and assist individuals with behaviors through prevention or de-escalation of aggression. Use positive programming methods to address behavior needs in accordance with the ISP and/or under the direction of a Behavior Specialist. 3. Monitor and document Individuals daily activities and interactions. 4. Train individuals on prescribed skills in the home, as well as, in the community. 5. Monitor the Individual's self-administration of medication. 6. Record data of the individuals performance across a wide range of educational and behavioral programs (DBHDD specific). 7. Transport the Individuals to services and/or activities within the community as outlined in the ISP and/or directed by supervisor or Director. 8. Assisting with meals, bathing, clothing, hygiene and general personal care of individuals with disabilities. Qualifications and Skills Education and Experience required: 1. High School Education or GED equivalent 2. Experience working in a Personal Care Home, Assisted Living or Community Living Arrangement setting. At least one year experience working with individuals with Intellectual disabilities. 3. Must be able to pass a criminal background check. 4. Must be able to provide a current physical and PPD (TB test) result. 5. Must have a valid GA drivers license and be able to drive company van.
