Seeking care for my grandmother in her 80s. Services needed: companionship. Specialized care needs: nursing experience, support for memory care. Female caregiver preferred. A little more about my grandmother: she can be anxious, pleasant. She does have dementia, not dependent on people for personal care, she just cannot be left alone. Has tendency of calling 911 as she gets nervous/scared that she is dizzy/doesn't feel well, it is just one symptom of dementia, paranoia. She usually thinks she has taken something she wasn't suppose to but there is nothing in her house for that to happen, all her medications are hidden from her and given when scheduled. Loves many things gardening, reading and dogs for example. Has a good and humerus personality. Many great stories to tell about her life, being a former nurse and traveling to many places. Big family person as she has 5 children and many grandchildren and great grandchildren. I'm looking for someone who is patient, chatty, firm. Looking for an upbeat happy go lucky caregiver to be more of a companion than anything. If & when she does get nervous for feeling dizzy or think she has taken something so hasn't to be firm and reassuring that she is ok.
