Seeking care for my 55-year-old brother who has Down Syndrome and Dementia. He is a gentle, kind man who is usually very cooperative. He needs help with all activities of daily living. His self-help skills at any given time are variable, the caregiver will need to give appropriate levels of support so that he is doing as much as he is able to do. He is ambulatory but needs support walking, negotiating stairs and getting up and down from sitting. He enjoys short walks, sitting on the swing, trips to the park, listening to music. We are looking for a person who has experience with developmental disabilities, CPR, First Aid certification, background check, and flexibility. We are currently looking for part-time or fill-in help in the late afternoon/early evenings, some days, weekend days and respite. A CNA is recommended for this job.
