Help needed for my mother in her 80s - seeking part-time companion care. The ideal match will meet the requirements below. Looking for a caring and compassionate companion. My sweet mother has Dementia. She had been living in an assisted living home until she broke her hip about a month ago. She had a successful hip replacement and is currently in rehab in Yorktown Heights. Things are going fairly well, but my siblings and I feel she needs more one-on-one. My siblings and I have been with her everyday since she entered the facility, but now we are finding it is impossible. We are looking for someone to be our surrogate. Specifically, we need someone to sit with our mother while she eats and try to make sure she eats, keep her stimulated, take her outside to get fresh air (she is in a wheelchair), and report to us how she is doing.
