When signing up for Care.com, you can choose between two paid membership options: Basic and Premium. The fees for a Basic membership help cover the cost of screening all individual caregivers on our platform—including background checks and identity verification. Premium membership includes added benefits like higher rankings in search results, priority job alerts, and waived background check fees.

All individual caregivers are required to complete a Care.com background check when joining our platform. We collect your legal name, permanent address, birth date, and Social Security number to run the check. Caregivers are also subject to recurring criminal checks while you’re active on the site.
