Tutor Needed For After-School Program

Part Time
School of Education, a learning/tutoring school in Westminster, is seeking part-time teachers and/or tutors for Middle - High School students - Grades 6-12, for all Core subjects: Math (up to Calculus BC) , Science (including Chemistry and Physics), English, and History. Position will start on September 7, 2021. RESPONSIBILITIES Help students with homework, projects, prepare students for upcoming quizzes and tests in a structured and supportive classroom environment. Ability to help/teach quality instruction to grades 6th through 12th students in the core subjects of English, Math, Science, and Social Studies Differentiate instruction to meet each student's individual needs Tutor daily lessons to accommodate the California Common Core State Standards (CCSS) Monitor and record student progress Collaborate with fellow teachers to create a trustful, friendly and safe environment demonstrating shared responsibility, shared vision, shared mission and high expectations for team and organization achievement Model and encourage appropriate student behavior Maintain a positive attitude for a fun learning environment Communicate with students, families and organization team to prevent conflicts and keep the Director of Education updated Perform related duties as assigned by the Director of Education QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor Degree from an accredited institution required. Master's Degree and/or teaching credential preferred. Available to start on September 7, 2021. At least 3 years of teaching experience Multiple Subjects teaching experience preferred Ability to effectively break down lessons from the root and teach it in a motivated and meaningful way to students Flexible to changing priorities and conditions. Reliable, loyal, committed, patience, motivated, responsible, and organized Communicate clearly and effectively both verbally and in writing. First day of After-School Program (Tuesday): September 7, 2021 Last day of After-school Program (Thursday): June 2, 2022
