Our proprietary screening process approves only the most professional, experienced, and proven caregivers. Griswold Home Care refers less than 5% of all caregiver candidates. WE ONLY APPROVE CAREGIVER WE WOULD TRUST IN OUR OWN HOME. At the Manhattan Office of Griswold Home Care, our rates are some of the most affordable in the New York City area. Affordable rates mean you get the amount of care you need instead of only the amount you can afford. This unique blend of quality and affordability means you receive the custom care you need from the most qualified caregivers anywhere.
The need for home care is often unpredictable and immediate. Our Griswold owner will come to meet the family as quickly as possible to conduct a free, no-obligation Needs Assessment. These meetings are scheduled at the family 's convenience -- even during evenings or on weekends. Based upon your needs and preferences, Griswold Home Care will make every effort to refer an experienced and compatible caregiver within 24 hours of the Needs Assessment.
You are entitled to an unlimited number of referrals. If for any reason, you are not happy with your caregiver, we will provide a replacement. And if you are happy, but your caregiver needs time off, we can provide substitutes quickly and at no additional charge. If hourly services are no longer sufficient, Griswold 's 24/7 Live-In Program can refer an affordable caregiver around the clock.
Once services are established, the Griswold staff routinely makes calls and home visits to monitor satisfaction and to check for any changes in well-being. On-call Care Coordinators are available 24/7 to address any concerns. Working with Griswold Home Care means you are backed by a company with professional liability insurance, along with coverage against caregiver theft.

My dear friend Carol was suffering from chronic pain and dementia and had no family or friends willing to help or provide companionship. It was a difficult situation. Kathleen carefully and expertly selected home heath aides for Carol and even personally tended to her occasional excentricities. There are no limits to Kathleen's dedication to her clients. She was there for my friend, and me, when needed--and sometimes when Carol "wanted." Living thousands of miles from New York City this was a blessing and helped take the worry out of my day. I knew my dear friend was being looked after and in the best possible hands. I remember when Kathleen climbed 12 flights of stairs (twice) to make sure Carol was safe during an electrical outage in her building. Kathleen and staff communicated with me often and alerted me when things were awry. When Carol recently needed emergency medical attention, Kathleen joined her aide at the hospital and stayed with Carol FOR HOURS until I could arrive. Kathleen helped me communicate with the medical team from a distance and was able to ensure that my dear friend's final wishes were respected. I don't call this an agency--I call Griswold Home Care BETTER THAN FAMILY.
