CHAMPLIN FAMILY $23. 00+ FULL TIME-PCA MONDAY - FRIDAY-START DATE-AUGUST 16, 2021 REF#M947 Champlin Family looking for a Full-Time PCA to care for their 2. 5-year-old son who has special needs. He was born with low muscle tone, and is still learning to walk and talk, and struggles with fine motor skills. He is non-verbal but is very social, and loves to smile, laugh, and interact with people! Daily duties would include, working on physical and occupational therapy exercises. He is currently walking while holding on to an adult's fingers but does not crawl. During lunch and snacks, teaching him how to eat with utensils, and use cups and bowls, reading books and working on speech therapy and communication exercises, playing, having fun, and going outside. He currently weighs 25lbs, and a PCA will need to be able and willing to be pick him up off the floor frequently and carry him up and down stairs. In the future, PCA may also be asked to drive him to preschool occasionally. PCA could also potentially attend sessions with his therapists to learn techniques to use at home. Their 6-year-old son will be starting 1st grade in the fall. PCA may be asked to occasionally get him on and off the bus, however, they expect that 99% of the nanny's time will be focused on caring for the 2. 5-year-old. They would arrange for separate care for the 6-year-old old on days when he does not have school. The hours for this position are Monday-Friday 8am-4 p.m. They are looking for a PCA with 4-6 years Paid PCA Experience. Pay is $23. 00+ Depending on Experience.
