Private Palm Beach couple seeks a high energy yet low key Full-Time Housekeeper / Laundress / House Manager to assist with the overall cleaning, care, upkeep and overall management of their brand new primary Palm Beach residence. This position consists of a regular Monday through Friday schedule, roughly 9:00am 4:00pm/5:00pm and requires NO travel, though the family does have a 2nd home in NY. Some light cooking for Mr. only will be required on an as-needed basis, but no strong culinary skills, formal service skills, or childcare skills are required whatsoever. The residence is approximately 7,000 sqft, all one floor, and the position will report directly to the Mrs.; there are no other domestic full time staff in the residence. No pet care is required; however, should the family decide to adopt a small dog, some light care would be asked of the candidate (walking, feeding and watering, etc.)
The ideal candidate will have a strong passion for exceptional cleaning and laundry skills, as well as the ability to seamlessly manage a newly constructed primary residence, in tandem with understanding when to be present, and when to become invisible. MOST IMPORTANTLY, the ideal candidate will learn to ANTICIPATE THE PRINCIPAL S NEEDS in advance, and act with discretion, professionalism and poise at all times!
Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Full charge Housekeeping and Housekeeping maintenance throughout the 7,000 sqft. Single-story informal residence on a daily basis including all rooms and bathrooms
Changing sheets and towels, as well as laundry for the Mr. and Mrs. including washing, pressing and ironing sheets and clothing as necessary
Managing items that have been sent out to the dry cleaners for professional care; arranging pick-ups and drop-offs
Maintaining tidy and orderly closets throughout residence; extensive organization throughout the home including cupboards, cabinets, closets, storage areas, etc.
Overseeing all vendors and contractors in and around the residence; ensuring the home is attended to on an appointment-ONLY basis and that all amenities and aspects of the home are running seamlessly and without issue at all times
Management of stock levels throughout the home, including groceries, medications, etc.; ensuring NOTHING is expired; shopping and restocking supplies as needed
Providing LIGHT cooking ONLY as needed for the Mr., including sandwiches, omelets, salads, etc.
Overseeing all amenities within the home, as well as renovations, construction projects, service providers, etc.
Providing light pet care for a family dog should Mr. and Mrs. Choose to adopt (walking, feeding and watering, etc.)
Running errands and carrying out special requests for the Mrs.
Assisting with entertaining on a very minimal basis only upon request on an occasional Saturday throughout the year
Additional Housekeeping, Laundress and House Management-related tasks as needed
