About

Little Folkies is excited to offer live classes again! Of course we prefer seeing your sweet faces in person, and we are beyond thrilled to finally be offering live classes again after over a year of doing classes online due to COVID.

We still want to be very careful, and remind students to take all safety precautions. The classes are outdoor, social distanced, and masks are required by all participants. Only one parent per child is allowed due to CDC guidelines. There will be no shared instruments during class, but participants can bring their own instruments for a jam at the end.

Little Folkies' family music class welcomes babies, toddlers and preschoolers along with their parents, grandparents and caregivers to come together every week to sing together like one big family! There is never a dull moment in this class, with the teacher leading the students through fun and engaging finger play activities, hand movements, fun lap songs, call and response singing and hands-on jamming with shakers and wooden kids instruments.* (*Due to covid participants must bring their own instruments to class)

The sweet, gentle and simple songs of the folk tradition have lyrics easy enough for both baby and grandma to sing along to, along with being soothing to children and creating positive early musical memories for them. Here at Little Folkies we share the knowledge that music is at the core of every human being, and we believe that all children should experience genuine, heart felt, acoustic music making which will increase their musical confidence and give them a healthy relationship to music right from the start.

Certain class times offered may be cancelled due to under-enrollment. In this case, you will be transferred to your second choice class.

In the event of a class cancellation due to teacher illness, Little Folkies will provide a make up lesson date within that semester.
