On this excursion with a bilingual Spanish and English guide, the bus trip is approximately 6 hours and 30 minutes, departing from Manhattan. We will have some stops along the way and arriving to have breakfast in Niagara around 7:00 am, then around 8:30 am we will begin to visit the different viewpoints (Bridal Veil on Goat Island, The Horseshoe at Terrapin Point and the American waterfall. The Maid of the Mist boat ride is NOT included but you can purchase it from the guide for $30 dollars from May 1 to October 25. We will visit the exteriors of the legendary Cotton Club, scene of great jazz and blues figures, and then the legendary Apollo Theater, where artists such as Louis Armstrong, Ella Fitzgerald, Aretha Franklin and the Jackson Five debuted. We will continue to Columbia University and walk through the picturesque Harlem homes to get an up-close look at its historical evolution, including the famous Mother Hale home. Then we will visit the tomb of General Ulysses S. Grant before entering a Baptist temple to live an authentic gospel Mass with its traditional chants. We will finish the tour at 59th Street in Midtown Manhattan.

If you want to know the history of Harlem and attend a gospel concert without interruptions, this tour is for you. We will meet in the heart of Harlem, walk some of its streets, see its iconic buildings, unravel its history and witness a gospel concert at one of the neighborhood’s iconic temples. It is important to note that the concert lasts an hour, it is without mass or interruptions.
