I'm a warm, energetic and educated European woman (BS in mathematics, degree in music/piano performance, currently working toward my Master's of Education), looking for long-term FT/PT work with a warm, loving family that has a great sense of humor, values education, creativity and high quality childcare. I'm open to work with multiple families.
So whether you need a babysitter/nanny, or someone to help your child with homework, piano practice and organizational skills, or you're looking for a great math tutor/piano teacher to inspire and motivate your child to learn and grow, I'd be a good fit.
I consider myself loving, reliable, caring and sensitive to children's needs, flexible, compassionate, smart, fun loving person with a creative, can do attitude and a sunny disposition who simply just loves and adores children. I believe in discipline, tender hugs and lots of praises.
My personal childcare goals are to teach kids a healthy sense of respect for people and reasonable rules, to instill in them the value of personal responsibility, to open them up to curiosity and the excitement of learning new things, and to foster a love of silliness, play and imagination. My experience as both math teacher and nanny/sitter covers babies/toddlers/twins as well as school aged children. Activities or tasks I enjoy doing with the children include: picking the children up from school, preparing simple breakfast/lunch/dinner, supervising play dates, taking the children to extracurricular activities, fun outings (aquarium, beach, lakes, museums, library, hikes, adventures of all kinds!), attending events, creating arts and crafts and loads of other great activities. I also enjoy teaching children new things and engaging them in developmental activities. As a tutor/ homework helper the activities I introduce to the children vary with age. With a toddler or a young child I like to help them learn and explore the world. I feel it is important for them to learn in a playful way. With older children I feel it is important to help them with their studies as well as create a fun and caring environment for them. When the fun stops the learning stops, so it's important to know when to be flexible and when to be firm, while always holding the children' s interests close to heart. From me you'll get the updates about your child's successes and challenges and I welcome feedback from the parents as well.
