I have completed a social care degree. My approach is caring, supportive and non judgemental. I have an open and honest way of communicating that comes through in a respectful way. I have spent a number of years working with children in a residential setting and due to the loss of my husband I no longer can work in this area as it requires me to be able to work 24 hour shifts. Previously, I spent a number of years working with children in their homes and within art and craft workshops and summer camps which I ran independently. As a mother of four I brought my interests in gardening, cooking and crafts into my children's daily lives and similarly into my work life with children. I understand the value of supporting children with homework without doing it for them. I am choosing to work within childcare because I have genuinely always loved the energy and enthusiasm of children. I am lighthearted and energetic and have always endeavoured to do my very best for each child that I have cared for.
