Special Needs Care in Wilmslow

| I have worked at a national epilepsy centre for over 9 years caring for young adults who, in addition to epilepsy, have physical disabilities and learning difficulties. I have worked within our college services as well as adult residential homes where we support individuals to be as independent as possible. I have an NVQ level 3 in health and social care.

In the past 16 years, I have worked in care settings. I am 48 years with 2 grown up boys. I am very caring with a good sense of humor. I love making a difference in people's lives.

Hi, my name is Becca. I am currently living in Handforth, Wilmslow. I completed my nurse training in Learning Disability Nursing, in September and have just started my first nursing job. I do have a driving license and I own a car. I have just qualified in Learning Disability Nursing. This had led me to have a lot of experience with people with special needs, learning disabilities, and autism. I also have Basic Life Support Training and have it updated yearly as per my training. Also, I am CRB checked, due to the nature of my job. I have a lot of experience with children as I have plenty of young children in my family. I have had lots of babysitting experience and I have been on many placements including inpatient units, a respite unit, child and adult community teams and a school. I also have a 6 year old cousin with autism, who I regularly look after. I am available for care work, however I do work different hours every week - dependent on the rota. It would have to be hours on an individual basis. I would aim to provide care work whenever possible. I will only be working 3/4 days a week, so the others I will be available for care work.

I have worked with adults with learning disabilities and found that its a very rewarding job for me. I enjoy communicating and learning the physical and mental side of the career. I was situated in a residential which involved looking after their daily routines.
