Experience: 8 Years
I work with young adults with mental health issues; they have personality disorder, ADHD, autism and are high risk self-harm. Previously, I worked with children with learning difficulties on a one to one basis and as part of a group with in schools as a teaching assistant. I have also worked in supported living, within the community, hospital, volunteer work with parents and their children, within the mental health wards and in care homes. I have also supported/ assisted the elderly, Autism, Disabled, Mental health issues, Visual Impairment and Hearing Impairment. I am fully aware of the tasks that are involved within the health and social care sector and I believe myself to be experienced in personal care, catheter care, peg feeding, medication administration, epilepsy management, general day to day chores within a home. I like to believe that I am a good worker and I work well on my own initiative and also well in a team. I like to promote individuality, rights, choice, privacy, independence, dignity, and respect as it helps to make individuals aware that they are still in control of their life and gives them a little more independence.
