| Hello! My name is Amy, I have many years experience as a carer and also an pet owner. I can assist with a multitude of requirements. I am a Psychology student, I will gain my degree next summer, I also have a Health and Social care NVQ amongst many other qualifications. I have a clear DBS, non smoker, fit and active. I believe in helping those facing challenges achieve a greater quality of life.

I have worked with children in a private day nursery for 6 years ranging from 6 months olds to 4-year-olds and began to work as a special educational needs teaching assistant in September 2020.

Sleep ins were required also and this involved helping the individual getting ready for bed, making sure that they are comfortable during the night and making myself available to them during the night. In this role I have been able to develop my skills in hospitality, care and support service and working within a team to achieve these goals.

I have cared for individuals dealing with Dementia, as well as elderly clients with terminal illnesses. I’m currently working with a private client with cerebral palsy. My theoretical approach, not just in my work, but as a whole, is that each client is an individual & should be treated as so. Regardless of how much experience I have with clients, I’m still constantly learning, as each client is completely new. That, is something I love about the work I do.

| Hi, my name is Kirsten. I’m currently working in a special needs school working within the complex needs department as well as the profound and multiple learning difficulties department. I’m trained in tube feeding, moving and handling and also basic first aid (inc. epilepsy training). I’m a passionate and enthusiastic person who always puts students and young people first in everything that I do. I’m great at communicating with staff/ parents and students and my determination has enabled me to learn basic sign language and to use symbols. I’m looking for extra work to help financially as-well as full-filling vulnerable adults care. I’m punctual, flexible after current work hours 8:00am-4:30pm and available most weekends. I enjoy being silly and entertaining young people as well as taking my job role seriously and maintaining young persons dignity and care.

| Hi I'm Lizzie, 26 years old. I've worked on and off in this sector for years, starting when I was in collage volunteering in a special needs school, private carer for a few years then I moved to working for Mencap where I worked in multiple houses with lots of people with a variety of support needs for a few years. I always end up coming back to this line of work because it's natural to me and I enjoy every aspect of it. In regards to care experience I've worked with so many people with varying needs in care from just someone to walk to the park with to full time 24/7 support. I love being with people and support work allows that! I'm a creative, caring, bubbly person who's not afraid to challenge myself in this life. I've loved travelling and living in other countries, other interests are reading, yoga, meditation, mushroom cultivation/foraging, creating art (dried flower arrangements especially), gardening, being with friends, cooking, hiking and swimming!

| i used to look after elderly people different places on called stay in and sometimes just emergency covered , i helped them dressing up washing bathing giving medication used the hoist to shift every where they wanted to settle . manual handling , preparing meals ,shopping .joined the care home too which i found exciting ... got a retail job as well from next and some cleaning job from stepping hill hospital , i a m a friendly person bubbly and caring.
