Experience: 1 Year
I currently work for a dog re-homing center in Merseyside, and I love my work, but lately I have been finding myself longing for a more varied job and lifestyle. I have learnt so much, including administering drugs, health checks, behavior temperament checks, forms of first aid, different feeding techniques for fussy eaters, and much more.
I spent 3 years studying for a degree in Animal Behaviour and Training. What I found most useful about this course was that it taught me a variety of ways to train, and decipher the meaning of, the behaviour of a variety of animal species, mostly dogs, cats and birds.
For me, in this line of work, my passions stretch far and wide. I have, since a young age, I longed to work with animals. This reflects in my educational choices and work placements over the years.
I feel a sense of satisfaction when ensuring the animals in my charge receives the best welfare and care that I can provide, and I love knowing that I have helped to better that animal's life. In my current job this includes finding a stray dog a new loving home with a family that is right for the dog.
