Caring, patient, positive & respectful
My ambition has always been to provide high quality care to individuals. Studying for a first degree in Psychology, and beginning my working career as a Residential Care Manager for young people with physical disabilities, psychological co-morbidities & mental health support needs, has laid the foundations of my knowledge.
In November, I completed a Masters degree in Mental Health & Psychiatry. I worked my internship at a Tier 4 Psychiatric Unit for patients with neuro-developmental disorders. I worked closely with health care professionals offering therapeutic interventions to patients.
As my career to date demonstrates, I am passionate about caring for people and aiding families with support. I have also worked privately with a young person who has Cerebral Palsy, for a number of years giving respite to him & his family & supporting and encouraging his independence.
I have also provided care for my terminally ill father and Grandparents most recently. I am good humoured, patient, caring, loyal and hard working with a positive, respectful and boundaried approach. I can provide a safe and consistent routine to support individuals and their families. References available on request.
