| I enjoy the time I spend with my clients and like spending the time to get to know them well. I also have a lot of experience. I have been looking after a lovely lady for 7 years who has dementia, and so to understand her condition better I have taken a college course on dementia which I have passed. My clients are important to me, and I want to see they receive the best care possible for them, as we are all individuals with different conditions and needs. It is important to get to know my clients as much as possible, so I can then help them better by giving them the care, respect, and attention they need.

I have been working with elderly both within a hospital setting and the community for the past 7 years. I am looking to get back into this work as I thoroughly enjoy it. I feel it is a privilege to be able to help people from all walks of life, but also not taking away their independence by helping them where needed.

| Hello! My name is Lucie and I live in Redditch. I currently work as a full time care assistant at a local nursing home and I am hoping to start my nursing degree soon. I have took part in 3 first aid courses, manual handling courses, online training in food safety level 2, infection prevention, health and safety, basic life support, the importance of nutrition and fluids and fire awareness. I have over 4 years experience in Dementia/Alzheimer's care varying from family to nursing care. I am a very caring person and I enjoy being able to spend time with people and help them in anyway I can. I have also previously volunteered with the local food bank and I am currently applying to volunteer with the Alzheimer's Society. In my job I care for the elderly, it has taught me to care for people to incredibly high standards and I have learnt how to adapt to each person I look after to provide person centred care at all times. My hobbies are singing, watching films, musical theater, netball and reading. I would be happy to help in anyway I can whether that be cooking, cleaning, personal care or just sitting down for tea and a chat! I hope to hear from you soon!

| I have many interests, but I love being able to have time with my 18 year old twin girls and my Husband. I also love to spend time with our rescue pets, a dog Gina and cat Ella. I have 26 years experience in care work, working my way up to a Senior Support Worker, 1 line management level, I qualified with a diploma level 2 in health and social care, with a view to doing my level 3. I have worked in for the NHS Community Emergency Response team, day care centres, nursing homes, rest homes, specialist Learning Disabilities and domiciliary work, I enjoy working with the elderly and LD as it has been something that has always been in my life. I love listening and hearing about people’s lives and what they have done, and I want to make sure that they can still have a fulfilling, enjoyable life, getting older or having a disability should not stop anyone doing what they want. I am very passionate about care work being people centred and making sure that person has the best possible care that they are entitled to.
