| I have my level 2 health and social care and I have worked in care for 1 year and I very much enjoy it. I have always wanted to care for the elderly, nothing makes me happier than knowing I am making a difference to someone's life! I have done lots of training and I think I am a very good carer. I have experience with strokes, dementia, mental health, alcoholics, MS and cancer. One day in the future I would like to work with people with dementia and maybe own my own care home. I understand how challenging the job is and I am willing to undertake the challenge. I would describe myself as trust worthy, reliable, caring, punctual, kind, supportive, responsible and sensitive. | I was a care for over 10 years for my mam ,she was of sound mind but riddled with arthritis, I,d help her dress clean the house and would do her lunch time meal and sometimes her evening meal I also would put her tablets into daily boxes for her ,and do any shopping she needed

| Although I do not have any experience in the care sector I believe I would be an excellent care giver to any elderly person, I have the utmost respect for the elderly and believe the experiences and wisdom they've gained through life is fascinating. I care for my great grandmother 3 times a week which includes me taking her shopping, cooking her meals and just in general keeping her company and we have a great relationship. She is the one person in the world I am the closest to. I also work in a local tea room, called glanmors, with the majority of clientele being the elderly and I ensure to engage in conversation and try to make every single customer feel special. Some of the elderly regulars say I am the favourite waitress. I also did a week work placement in ystrad hospital in which I got to visit and elderly care facility to assist a doctor on a house call, in this visit I had to comfort the patient, who had dimentia and was getting scared, while the doctor gave an injection. I have great patience and am willing to overcome any task in order to make another's life more comfortable or easier. I am kind and considerate and would love an opportunity to work a role that is based on this.
